The main objective for this artwork is to express how serious people this day rely on the technologies and being caught in the unreal cyber world. The conveniences of technology spread deep into every aspect of our life, from medical, education, communication, relationship, entertainment, etc until death.
The simple line art inside the ‘computer border’ clearly express how unreal and without the feeling of warmness technology brings us no matter how convenient it is. The world outside the ‘border’ (unreal cyber world) was painted in different style to create the opposite type of world which is more close to realistic world. The chain lock also indicate that most of us hardly live without any influences of technology, we are all locked to it!
Death is not shown here as it would mean that one will be free from the chain once you reach that moment of your life.

The artwork is conceptually based on mangroves. The intent was to praise the importance of mangroves to the habitat and all living creatures. I embellish the monotonous muddy mangroves with colours and thus changing its dull impression that people had to a more colourful and lively look.

In this artwork, I embellish the monotonous muddy mangrove with colours to praise its ability to survive in an inhospitable environment, and being a great habitat for many rare living creatures.
